don't do this on a 1.1.4 phone -- it crashes like other apps that apparantly need/check for 1.1.3. i had to reset network connections.

up to date way of upgrading iphone (to make it easy for everybody): use itunes to upgrade, just like an unlocked iphone, to 1.1.3 then quit itunes start ziphone 2.4 unlock iphone (after that the iphone works fully) restart iphone and use ziphone 2.4 advanced options to downgrade/upgrade bootloader/baseband from BL4.6/BB04.02.13_G to BL3.9/BB04.03.13_G restart iphone and your on an iphone that works just like an unlocked iphone + it's jailbroken and has the installer.app on it... then take it from there... no media or settings are erased in that process, unlike previous upgrades that deleted all media and settings from the iphone... i tend to giving the advice to delete all 3rd part apps before doing this upgrade in order to make sure no old settings of those 3rd party apps are corrupted... just to make sure and it doesn't take that long to reinstall the 3rd party apps, the settings are not deleted by uninstalling the apps...

and why would you want to restore 1.1.1 in the 1st place??? doesn't make sense... stick to 1.1.3 !!! use ziphone 2.4 and read the read me files if you don't know how to use it...!!! reading helps, and don;t just apply stuff to your iphone if you don;t understand the underlying processes...

restore to 1.1.3, then use ziphone 2.4 to unlock. after unlocking downgrade the 4.6 bootloader to 3.9 and in the same instant ziphone upgrade the baseband to 04.03.13_G... 1.1.3 is the version t o use now! don;t mess with 1.1.1 or 1.1.2... ziphone 2.4 is for 1.1.3, and if your on bootloader 3.9 there's no need to change that... if your on bootloader 4.6 baseband 04.03.13_G can't run and your cell part of the iphone will stay silent... only BL 3.9 and BB 04.03.13_G work! BL 4.6 needs BB 04.02.13_G to work porperly... the downgrade (BL) and upgrade (BB) are to be found in the advanced option in ziphone 2.4... but first use itunes to upgrade to 1.1.3, then unlock, quit itunes, restart iphone. after that downgrade/upgrade BL/UL... if your on 1.1.1 you can't use 04.03.13_G @ all! only in 1.1.3 after applying all the ziphone features!

Hi, I had upgraded from. 1.0.2 - 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 and unlocked using anysim then upgraded to 1.1.3 using official 1.1.3-3 upgrader. Now before applying this, just reinstalled BSD n moved my fonts using boss tool (thanks all for such great work). Upgraded to 04.03.13_G. Later downloaded anysim 1.1.3 under the iclarified source, all went fine (Thanks GOD). Installed it under airplane mode on. It worked smooth. Now i have a 1.1.3 with 04.03.13_G firmware. All working well. Thanks to all for their efforts and for users to give such useful comments. Cheers

http://downloadziphone.org/ZiPhoneOSX-2.4.tbz ziphone 2.4, chose option to "Downgrade Bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9, update baseband to 4.03.13 and patch the unlock". that should be it...;-) http://www.ziphone.org

i'm on 1.1.3, 04.02.13_G, BL 3.9, jailbreak 0.5.3. when i try the basband 1.1.3 updater i get the script error. after that my cell signal goes dead. after rebooting the iphone everthing works flawlessyl, but no changes were applied to the 04.02.13_G baseband... what is the DEV team jailbreak, the zibri or the jailbreak one? there's ziphone 2.2 and the jailbreak 0.5.3 out there right now... thnx for all answers

This only works on 1.1.3 systems? I looked at cusquinho's path/solution from page 7 (and quoted herein) but the only difference is that I ran this update with at the 1.1.2 stage. Meaning, i had a 1.1.1 otb with 3.9 bootloader and then i upgraded to 1.1.2. It had the 4.02.13_G baseband just before i ran the upgrade mentioned in this tutorial. I unlocked it with anySIM 1.2u. Once I installed the Upgrade mentioned in this tutorial i lost wifi and gsm. The only difference between cusquinho's path and mine is that before running the upgrade in this tutorial he first upgraded to 1.1.3 using the iphone dev teams method. So, is it that it doesnt work with 1.1.2 firmware (if it should be noted in the install file). cusquinho's post: 2008-02-06 10:07:48 Hi, AFAIK, this is what *I think* you need to get it working: * Have the 04.02.13_G radio (from 1.1.2); * Upgraded from 1.1.2 -> 1.1.3 using Dev-Team method; * Mine was unlocked, with anysim 1.2u; * Install the baseband update with enough free space on /, mine had 86 MB which I got with BossTool moving Fonts; * Wait for it to finish, install anysim 1.3; * Run anysim 1.3 in Airplane Mode (I know it seems to be working without), and autolock to never; * Wait for it to finish and reboot. That's all I did, step by step. Mine is 1.1.1 OOB, upgraded to 1.1.3 with dev team soft upgrade using 1.2 radio. (now 1.3)

Hey, well Im not very good with the baseband and stuff because I have AT&T, so no unlocking for me, but if the baseband controls googlemaps on 1.1.3, could I use this to go from 1.1.1, 04.01.13_G to 04.03.13_G then use the soft upgrade to 1.1.3 to get fully functioning 1.1.3? Thanks -Andrew

Is it safe to uninstall the Baseband Updater file (1.8mb) from Intaller once the process has completed? Just be nice to have that bit of disc space back... but want to be sure it won't try to downgrade my baseband again when uninstalling it. Thanks again for all the great work guys (and gals).

@Andrea_P: You are likely out of space on /. Go to this website and perform these steps: http://kevinjung.ca/?p=219 Then once you do that install the big boss app to move your apps and free up space. Counting that your bsd subsystem and openssh are installed and running you should be set.

takes a while, actually, took me 4 tries to get to the "flashing baseband" part....if you are not getting anything just try turning it off and then trying again, after a while it will work, second time i did it instead it said it would take 5 minutes. It just worked, freaked me out tho, the internet connection will appear but thats notmal, they dont tell us that to FREAK US OUT hahaha. Good luck everyone, now baseband from 1.1.3. Now the question is.....why couldnt i have just done a normal itunes update to 1.1.3?

I am currently using OTB 1.1.1 JB unlocked, upgraded to 1.1.2 and soft upgrade to 1.1.3 via iClarified through installer. My current Modem Firmware is 04.02.13_G. Everything in the phone is working just great except the LOCATE on Google maps. once I touch the icon, it keep reading forever and nothing happens. I read that this upgrade is for 3.9 BL, but can I use this upgrade as well for the Locate feature to work ?? Thanks in advace.

Thank you! I'm gonna try that! But the error I got was something about unable to restore! Because, while the iphone is plugged in, it keeps rebooting... Not being able to get restore mode in Iphone... Hopefully it will work! I'll let you know... Thank you...

Jonathas IF the error your getting is "ask apple support" then go to link in my last post, if not follow a restore via DFU (holding down sleep/home for 10sec then after that just hold down home for another 10) then try restoring it to a older firmware.

OK guys, little help here. Upgraded to jailbreak 1.1.3, went to update baseband, said I needed to install BSD Subsystem first. Installed that, followed by the baseband upgrade. Well now I have no service and never had a chance to install anysim. Any reccommendations?

I cant seen to get any signal though after I do this. I have to use the baseband 2 in order to get signal. Are people getting signal with the 1.1.3 baseband by running the script/commands each time they reboot?
diaftia
diaftia - February 7, 2008 at 3:39pm
If you are on 1.1.3 and the installer is quitting without doing anything and booting you back to the springboard without updating go into the installed packages and select BSD Subsystem. Select reinstall and then reboot. Once you do that do the baseband updater as normal and everything will work.

Hi there, Workes perfectly great for me. I have 1.1.1 OTB (JB, AnySim) -> 1.1.2 -> 1.1.3 with NateTrue. Then I just installed the new Baseband from iClarified. After that, I installed AnySim and unlocked my phone again. Worked for me. By the way: During the installation of the new Baseband, the phone said there's not enough disk space. I just ignored it and let it finish...
