Check out this concept for an iPhone that curves from top to bottom.

The concept was created by designer Martin Hajek for iDropNews following a recent report from Bloomberg. The report claimed that Apple is working on future iPhones with touchless gesture control and curved screens. The gesture control feature would let users perform some tasks by moving their finger close to the screen without touching it.

Sources say that an iPhone with a display that curves inward gradually from top to bottom could be as little as two to three years away.

Take a look at a few concept renders below and please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for more iPhone updates.

Design-wise, a curved phone is just weird. People want to be able to put their phone on a flat surface and have their phone aligned with the surface. With a curved phone, it just sticks up. Imagine a heavy object smashing it flat. I’d be very disappointed if Apple comes out with any curved phone, especially if it looks like this picture.

I just assumed they meant curved edges. Seems more logical to me to emulate a modern design rather than a 15 year old design...unless they're going for a nostalgic style.

Although Nokia was a hit back then. This concept loses a third of the screen size. But hey, what do I know. I’m a Samsheep now. :-)

It looks like the Nokia 8800 phone which is still one of the best looking phones ever made.
