You can download iClarified from the App Store for free.
Ok, most of my concerns are already on the todo list (swipe, swipe back out, list view, mark articles as read).
But please tell me why would iClarified (being a technology-centric media) release a major design update, that falls completely short in functionality? Who on earth sets those priorities?
An unnecessary column is coming in the page of news, which seems like a small bug. I have the screenshot of it . But can’t send in comments. This is not the first time I’m getting that bug. It started appearing after the new update.
To be honest, I hate pictures. I prefer text and occasional picture. But the pictures in the list of articles not so much. I don’t want Linus videos either. I agree with function increasing changes and some cosmetics.
Hi iClarified! I can't believe my eyes! This update is absolutely amazing! I have been using iClarified for around 3 years and while I'm sad to see the old UI go, I can't believe how well this iteration is made. The UI, fonts, stability etc. is all amazing. I can give a few recommendations if you want to implement them:
- force touch to preview articles
- make read articles fade grey
- add a freebies section of apps/software in the store tab that will not only allow the app to act as a "free apps of the day" but will also increase the use of the store tab
- preview of article within the notification
But I can't believe how awesome this app is. I'm a very Ardent fan and can't believe you still give amazingly timely and relevant updates!
I hate how you now need a legit account to not only save the older articles (all gone now after updating, thanks) and as I just figured out now, commenting. These are the only drawbacks I had that make me like the old one more. I don't mind the UI refresh. That's not a problem.
We decided to require an account for commenting to better control spam. Saved articles from the old app that were linked to an account should have transferred over. The benefit of requiring an account for saved articles is that they are synced on any device or platform.
Congrats on the update, iClarified!!
Sweet new UI, runs really smooth on both of my iPhones (X on iOS 11.1.2, and 6 on iOS 10.2). At last I can properly add punctuation and format my posts.
Just a few issues:
1. when I'm scrolling through articles on the app on my older iPhone, the background elements get mixed up with the status bar making its viewing hard.
2. When using emojis, the keyboard increases its length and I can't see the text I'm typing.
3. Can't scroll freely when I'm typing them posts, all these bugs really need addressing.
Finally the status bar looks great on my iPhone X! Please fix these problems, them I'm leaving my. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review.
Improved graphics but
Where's the ability to configure?
Trending has gone to side scrolling? Why.
Now so difficult to view the list of trending, at least the old design could see many items vertically and quickly scroll up and down. Enter and view the ones you want but so much trouble now.
Overall update is negative on readability, positive on graphics
We plan to add more options for the Home tab view in a future update. Please sign up as a beta tester to get these earlier or make other suggestions. Thanks
Beautiful redesign, nice job. I hope the swipe between articles works again soon and an option for list or photo view would be nice unless I missed either of those. Really, great job iClarified. Also can you make sure no one has my same username. Cheers!
