How to Superscript or Subscript in TextEdit

To Superscript or Subscript text in TextEdit follow these steps:

Step One
Highlight the text you would like to Superscript or Subscript and choose Format : Font : Baseline from the menu.

Choose Superscript to move the text above the level of normal text. Choose Subscript to move it below the level of normal text. Choose Raise to move the text up only a little bit, or choose Lower to move it down only a little bit.


Keyboard Shortcuts
Make text superscript - Control-Command-plus sign (+)
Make text subscript - Control-Command-minus sign (-)
