Copper iPhone 17 Pro? Leak Reveals Possible New Finish

A new leak shared online today suggests Apple may be planning a new color option for its upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. The information comes from images of purported third-party lens protectors designed for the new devices.

The images were posted on X by leaker Sonny Dickson, who notes that the lens protectors are colored to match the phone's finish. One image shows an orange-colored protector for the Pro Max, which he speculates could hint at a new dark gold or copper shade for the device.

This isn't the first rumored color for the 2025 Pro lineup. A previous report suggested Apple was prototyping a new "Sky Blue" finish, potentially to match the M4 MacBook Air.


The protectors are designed for the wider camera bump that's rumored to stretch across the entire back of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. Accessory makers have already begun producing camera covers for the updated design, which has been corroborated by multiple leaked dummy units.
