For one, the battery shutdown on the 6s models wasn’t on purpose, it was a side effect that Apple didn’t know about, so they decided to keep it quit and fix it by slowing down the phones a little bit(not a lot) during the next software update(but only if the battery was bad), and then they decided about 3-4 months later to do the same thing for all iPhones but only if the battery was below 60-70% capacity(not current charge). That’s what alerted the tech industry and was able to find out about apples throttle to the cpu. But as far as Apple and Samsung releasing software updates that slow down their phones, that’s not entirely true. See when you update software(windows included) your doing so because your adding new features or fixing security holes, and that means the cpu has to run a little bit harder or faster to run those features or patches, anyway, batteries naturally get worse over time as well, so all phones seem like they are going slower and dying faster just because of the nature of battieres and software updates, it’s just not possibly to make a phone run better than it did when you got it new, you can make it run just as good if you never update it and get a new battery, but never better.

F them for that, they deserved it.

Funny how AS.Samsung insulted Apple for an intentional slowdown over the battery at the time that couldn't be controlled when they to have been guilty of slowing down their devices to, but with software updates. Despite that though, what do we expect to happen when an operating system works the best when it's pre installed and future OS versions are likely made for the newest products. Of course the old will soon die, yet I'm still rockin' with my 5s that works with minor battery wear according to battery health (10% wear level).

Really? Well while I’m with the latest iPhone, my Samsung friends are with their Galaxy 6 which is running the same speed as my X. Not fair that apple slowed down my previous devices in order to get apple sheeps to buy the latest model.
