As I was saying before my post self-posted, you can’t charge premium prices for a whole host of products, as there’s no justification to pay those exorbitant prices. To charge those rates, you’ve got to limit what you offer to flagship products. Tim Cook has no clue how the Apple mystique works. But that’s OK. Apple plans to ‘solve’ the problem by no longer admitting how terrible their sales really are. No wonder their stock price is tanking. I love Apple, but they officially screwed the pooch this time!

If you’re going to charge premium prices, the product best stand out as a top of the line item. When you launch three separate premium products, one after another, users feel manipulated and refuse to play. But that’s OK,

Features sucks on that phone , low quality resolution to begin with , they should have focus on XS and XS MAX and priced them low

The problem was, they utterly abandoned the previous years flagship, putting the future of every model in doubt, and then dumped three different models (all oversized), leaving users to guess which might survive. Is it any wonder none sold well? Everyone is waiting until next year when Apple may figure out which model they’ll support going forward. Scattershot flagship products is a stupid marketing choice. It tells users Apple has no clue which horse they’re betting on.

But the VP said it is the most popular iPhone yet!

Ah but that’s not what he said. Apple is extraordinarily crafty with respect to twisting statements. What he said was “the iPhone XR has been Apple’s top selling iPhone since launch”. At first glance that would seem to read that the iPhone XR is the best selling phone ever. However, what that statement actually says is only that it has outsold the other phones that Apple has been retailing since the XR was launched. So, when Apple says that the XR is not Not selling as well as they would have liked. What they are also saying is that all of apples other phones are selling even more poorly.
