Apple is testing a version of its next generation iPhone that features a USB-C port rather than a Lightning port, according to a Bloomberg report.
Apple is also testing some versions of this year’s iPhone line that includes a USB-C connector instead of the Lightning port that has been used on iPhones since 2012, indicating that the company plans an eventual switch, according to one of the people.
The company has already switched to USB-C for its iPad Pros and many users are hoping it will do the same with its smartphones.
This year's new iPhone models are said to feature an upgraded processor, an improved Face ID sensor, and a triple-lens camera. The device's design is not expected to change until 2020 when Apple will likely introduce 5G support.

That can't be iPhone; it's prototype anyway. Buy iPhone that takes a look of China android phone is a waste of money.

I think the 3-lens prototype is horrible. I seriously hope that Apple will not ruin the device. I'm sure it's Apple's iPhone since the 1st iPhone. I hope I do not have to change 2 cameras and enough this multi-camera business is ruining the newer devices.

If rumors are to be believed, it sounds like Apple is the only top tier manufacturer who won’t have anything new of substance this year.
