NETGEAR to Introduce World's First 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi Products

Quantenna Communications today announced that NETGEAR has chosen the companys technology for use in wireless high-definition (HD) audio/video products that will supercharge existing home Wi-Fi networks so they can deliver multiple, flawless HD streams throughout the home.

NETGEAR and Quantenna are collaborating on consumer wireless home-entertainment networking products that incorporate all industry-standard 802.11n features that are necessary for delivering ultra-reliable Wi-Fi bandwidth. Full-11n technology for wireless full HD networking includes 4x4 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), dynamic digital beamforming and wireless channel monitoring and optimizing, all of which are integral features of Quantenna technology. Quantennas Full-11n technology delivers ultra-reliable full HD video quality anywhere in the home, across distances of 100 feet or more, regardless of signal interferences and dead zones that exist in most residential environments.
