Apple leaked images of new wireless 'Powerbeats Pro' sport headphones in today's release of iOS 12.2. The images were discovered by 9to5Mac.
Hidden in iOS 12.2 are animations and images that showcase Powerbeats without any sort of connecting wire. In terms of design, they’re nearly identical to Powerbeats3, but truly wireless much like AirPods. The glyphs show Powerbeats Pro in black and white color variations.
Similar to AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro headphones will come with a case that will likely charge them when not in use.
While AirPods are popular due to their compact size, Powerbeats Pro may be purchased by users who prefer over-ear clips to keep their earbuds more secure and users who like the option of different size ear tips.

Ive purchased multiple wireless earphones which promised ‘much better sound quality’. All of them are virtually unusable (they continually fall out, despite the ‘customizable fir’, and while the sound IS marginally better, you can’t hear anything else while wearing them).
I’ll stick with my AirPods, but I’ll wait for next years version, as the only significant advance in these is in the new charging case, which just ain’t worth $79!
