Apple is Allegedly Considering Bundling AirPods With iPhone

Apple is allegedly considering whether or not to bundle AirPods with next generation iPhones, according to a DigiTimes report.

The site claims "smartphone vendors including Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi are looking to bundle their new models with TWS earbuds next year," citing unnamed industry sources. TWS stands for truly wireless stereo earphones such as the Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds.

It seems unlikely that Apple would include even base model AirPods that retail for $159 with an iPhone without substantially increasing the price. The Lightning earphones that Apple has included with the purchase of an iPhone retail for just $29.

One option that would be nice is a bundle where buyers could choose to get AirPods instead of EarPods. Perhaps, at a discounted price.

They make such an insane profit off the iPhone that they could easily bundle a pair of AirPods with it if they weren’t so greedy.
