TDK has announced the TH-WR700 wireless headphones (2.4 GHz) based on Kleer technology.
Kleer's wireless technolgy is said to produce less noise when listening to music than bluetooth (40db on average). The TH-WR700 features 32Ω impedance, 20Hz–20kHz frequency response, and 108 dB/mW sensitivity.
A small transmitter that plugs into the headphones jack makes wireless listening possible from up to 10m away. Below you can see a press image showing the transmitter being used with an iPhone.
The headphones go on sale in Japan on March 1 for $190. No word yet on international sales.
