Committed to the Environment
Today, Apple is carbon neutral for global corporate operations and, by 2030, plans to have net zero climate impact across the entire business, which includes manufacturing supply chains and all product life cycles. This means that every Apple device sold, from material collection, component manufacturing, assembly, transport, customer use, charging, all the way through recycling and material recovery, will be 100 percent carbon neutral. iPhone 12 Pro models were designed with the environment in mind. For the first time, iPhone 12 Pro models will utilize 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets, including the new camera, Taptic Engine, and MagSafe, as well as Apple’s MagSafe accessories. Apple is also removing the power adapter and EarPods from iPhone packaging, further reducing carbon emissions and avoiding the mining and use of precious materials, which enables smaller and lighter packaging, and allows for 70 percent more boxes to be shipped on a pallet. Taken altogether, these changes will cut over 2 million metric tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing nearly 450,000 cars from the road per year.

If they would care about planet 馃寧 they should give us credit for old chargers/cables towards new devices and have them recycled or repurpose them. And give us the new tech which is carbon friendly. Bs from Tim C as usually. Good for Apple board and bad for consumers.
odedoo1 - October 13, 2020 at 7:17pm
Only Tim can be greedy, No USB-C, No Headphones and forget about a quick charger you get no charger at all, even the 5G is not worth it yet, most use a very wide band LTE to get the speed calling it 5G including AT
odedoo1 - October 13, 2020 at 7:40pm
They totally cut everything I wrote about buying all new devices every year like a drug addict, No longer I鈥檓 tired giving them thousands of dollars each year for tiny changes so from now on at least 3 years in between buys. One thing for sure, Steve Jobs is turning in his grave not believing how he left the management to the most greedy person on this planet, come on where is the USB-C and a quick charger in the box, that鈥檚 being really cheap mister Tim ! For a tiny bit a better camera buying a new phone or the reason that % 90 of the customers by a new iPhone which is to show off, they are easy to spot because the walk with their iPhone holding it in their hands no protective case.
McApple1 - October 13, 2020 at 9:00pm
Okay, Republican (making excuses and hiding what you clearly didn鈥檛 get about why they didn鈥檛 include this or that in the iPhone box from this pint forward) I鈥檒l have you know they didn鈥檛 include the stuff that they at one point included in iPhone boxes in further efforts to reduce carbon emissions by using less material to make the boxes because many users have a variety of products they already use if not have had for years! The only greed is the amount of lies eating your brain all for a vain excuse about Jobs rolling in his grave, which he isn鈥檛 with the 5G progress the iPhone will take advantage of once we settle into this environment!
McApple1 - October 13, 2020 at 9:26pm
PS- here鈥檚 a list of everything I saw that changed from the iPhone 11 to 12 not including the camera and slight screen size adjustments: Super Retina XDR making is contrast ratio 2,000,000:1, 2x the pixels of the 11 Ceramic crystal shield that uses nanoceramic crystals making it tougher than any smartphone glass. MagSafe charging that can allow accurate alignment of wireless charging for iPhone cases to allow charging and snapping on seamlessly w/ a MagSafe wallet (if you wanted a phone based wallet) and can charge with it on as well. BTW you technically can include a USB-C cord with the phone if you wanted (41 minutes in of the event). The cameras are now about the level of movie quality and you can edit videos like you would in pro editing software right on the phone. With all this said, what would YOU do to be better in a smartphone? The hard work these people even put to them goes beyond showing off, hence it keeps getting consistent satisfaction for a reason. Talk about just glancing a book by its cover.
