iPhone 3GS Modded With Titanium Back

Unhappy with the plastic feel of his iPhone 3GS, romazzino used CAD to design a titanium back cover for his device.

"Basically I designed a new back cover for the 3GS. I had the original cover measured digitally, and I then started to draw the new cover in CAD. It's made out of a special titanium alloy that is RF transparent. I had tried aluminum but that was a complete disaster."

Romazzino didn't post the material cost of the titanium used. If reasonable I'm sure many people would love a phone that matched their MacBook or iMac. Personally I find the Apple logo far to large but otherwise the mod looks great!

it would better with THE COLOR OF CHROME,and a titanium.

i would say,that if it was a silver color it would look much better,in my opinion.but the idea of a titanium is really god,but i dont like the color.make it more shinny,

I don't see the metal rings around the camera or headphone jack. Aren't those metal rings antennas? ...and those are missing? Correct me if I'm wrong, buttttttt......uuummmmm.............anyone?

It would have been nice but modding the switch will require for him to mess with the mainboard, besides Titanium will make it impossible to make a phone call since it's one those elements that can make waves bounce (ask the military why they love it) aside the cost.

This is a complete fake . If you pay attention the button on the left side to ring or vibrate is different. On the all iPhone this button slides up and down and not left to right.....FAKE FAKE FAKE

Why does his vibration toggle move vertically insead of horizontally along the side of the phone? Fake?
