Wintek, a Taiwan based touch panel supplier, has been blamed for a delay of Apple's iPad shipments, reports the Liberty Times.
According to DigiTimes, the report says Wintek is facing a manufacturing bottleneck in its touch panel production. This has apparently hampered its shipments to Apple.
In response to these allegations, Wintek filed a statement with the Taiwan Stock Exchange saying that all of its operations have been running in line with its plans, and declined to comment on specific clients or particular orders.
Apple's initial launch date for the iPad was pushed back by about one week; however, there is some concern that high pre-order demand could cause shortages in the near future.
