The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the an iPad subscription to the journal will cost $17.99 per month.
In the article, the WSJ also reveals the advertising plans of several companies hoping to find success on the iPad.
Time Magazine - signed up Unilever, Toyota Motor , Fidelity Investments and 3+ others - $200,000 apiece for a single ad spot in each of the first eight issues
Condé Nast Publications, Wired - offers different levels of ad functionality depending on number of ad pages bought - eight pages bought in a single issue will allow video and other extra features
Time Inc, Sport Illustrated - showcasing three video-heavy ad prototypes - ex. Ford Mustang that includes an arcade-style driving game using accelerometer
Men's Health - will offer users 10 free pages of April and May editions - Gillette Odor Shield products will be the only advertiser for the "preview issue" - full iPad issue will cost $4.99
Hearst Magazines, Esquire - leaning towards issue without advertisements for $2.99
The Wall Street Journal - signed six advertisers, including Coca-Cola and FedEx - a four-month ad package costs $400,000 - $17.99 a month for iPad subscription
