Apple Has Discontinued macOS Server

Apple announced today that it has officially discontinued macOS Server. Many of the features previously associated with macOS Server have already been removed; however, the app could still be used to configure and monitor Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV devices.

Although it's discontinued, existing macOS Server customers can continue to download and use the app with macOS Monterey. Apple suggests you check out this document to learn about migrating from Profile Manager to MDM.

The most popular macOS Server features like Caching Server, File Sharing Server, and Time Machine Server have been bundled with every installation of macOS High Sierra and later. In a support document, Apple details which features were removed and suggests alternatives.
