iCloud Documents and Data Has Been Discontinued and Replaced by iCloud Drive

Apple has announced that iCloud Documents and Data has been discontinued and replaced by iCloud Drive.

The company announced completion of the migration in a support document published yesterday.

iCloud Documents and Data, our legacy document syncing service, has been discontinued and replaced by iCloud Drive. If you used iCloud Documents and Data, your account has been migrated to iCloud Drive.


If you used iCloud Documents and Data, you now need to turn on iCloud Drive to see your files. When switching to iCloud, the storage space your saved files use in iCloud will not change.

You can easily enable iCloud Drive on your iPhone by navigating to Settings > Your Name > iCloud.
