iPad Does Not Need to be Removed From Bag for Airport Screening

The Transportation Security Administration says that in general you should not need to remove your iPad from your bag when being security screened at the airport, according to the Associated Press.

The iPad is more security friendly because its fairly small and likely will not be stored in bags that contain bulky accessories like plugs and external drives that clutter the image.


You may still be asked to remove your iPad if the screeners can't get a clear image of the device.
