Project lead, Mykola Grymalyuk, recently announced that the team successfully managed to get macOS Ventura running on legacy Metal GPUs.
After many months of work, we’ve finally gotten macOS Ventura running on legacy Metal GPUs! This includes my early 2008 Mac Pro (Nvidia Kepler and AMD GCN 1), 2012 Mac mini, 2014 Mac mini and 2014 5k iMac!
Grymalyuk thanked @ASentientBot and EduCovas for their contributions to the effort, noting that without @ASentientBot's work on DSCE we wouldn't be able to get Ventura acceleration today.
There are no ETAs being provided at this time; however, it's looking hopeful for those Mac users whose computers didn't quite make the cut.
Otherwise, no proper time estimate can be given for mainline support in OpenCore Legacy Patcher, but we hope everyone’s excited for what’s to come!
Apple is expected to officially launch macOS Ventura in October. You can check if your Mac is compatible with Ventura here. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for further updates.
