Apple has seeded the third public beta of iOS 16.1 and a new public beta of iPadOS 16.1. This follows the release of iOS 16.1 beta 3 and iPadOS 16.1 beta 4 to developers yesterday.
Notably, the new beta of iPadOS enables Stage Manager for additional iPads; however, it also disables external display support. That feature will be re-enabled later this year.
Previous betas brought back Live Activities and iCloud Shared Photo Library and added Clean Energy Charging, battery percentage for more iPhones, easier home screen customization, the ability to delete the Wallet app, early support for Matter accessories, tweaks to the screenshot menu, and more.
To try out the public betas, you can sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program.
