Tim Cook Ignores Reporter, Refuses to Answer Questions About China [Video]

Apple CEO Tim Cook ignored a reporter and refused to answer questions about China while on Capitol Hill yesterday.

Cook was meeting with Democrat and Republican representatives over antitrust concerns with the App Store; as well as, the company's tight relationship with China.

Fox Business' Hillary Vaughn caught up with Cook after his meetings and asked the following questions.

---
Vaughn: Hi Mr. Cook. Do you support the Chinese people's right to protest?

Cook: SILENT

Vaughn: Do you have any reaction to the factory workers that were beaten and detained for protesting COVID lockdowns?

Cook: SILENT

Vaughn: Do you regret restricting AirDrop access that protesters used to evade surveillance from the Chinese government?

Cook: SILENT

Vaughn: Do you think it's problematic to do business with the Communist Chinese Party when they suppress human rights?

Cook: SILENT
---

Notably, Senator Josh Hawley recently sent an open letter to Tim Cook asking him to explain Apple's ongoing collaboration with China by December 6. We'll let you know how the company responds.

Tim's mouth is always full of something preventing him to speak

It’s called silent protesting to slowly move critical production out of China…which Apple is doing. But plants can’t be moved overnight. It take years to spin up a new facility. Vocal protesting gets your executives over there behind bars for trumped up charges. China is a tit-for-tat country and will make up a story to fit the need.

He's a CEO, not a politician. He's under no obligation to answer a reporter's questions. If a reporter came up to me and asked me questions, my answer might be less polite than Mr. Cook's silence.

It is absolutely insane that our biggest AMERICAN company can’t say if they support HUMAN RIGHTS fundamental to being an American…

It’s insane that Americans always rush to judgement and can’t give a company or person time to answer properly. They have a formal request from Josh Hawley but whatever the response it will be torn to shreds regardless . No one ever will give a good enough answer when the reporter is asking targeted questions making the company look as though they want what’s happening in China to continue. Let’s not forget how American protests ended during COVID and how laws are being created taking away American rights of freedom and voting right now and acting as if China is the only country doing it
