MKBHD built a dedicated website for the test this year. In total, 16 smartphones were selected to take part and each was assigned a letter at random. Visitors were asked to repeatedly select between two photos taken by two different cameras until a statistically significant winner emerged.
The Google Pixel 6A (33% off today) came in first place, followed closely by the Pixel 7 Pro. The Asus Zenphone 9 came in third, followed by the Oppo Find X5 Pro in fourth, Galaxy S22 Ultra in fifth, Realme 10 Pro+ in sixth, and the iPhone 14 Pro in seventh.
As noted in previous years, respondents tend to vote for images that are brighter and more colorful, leading to a winner that produces a more aesthetic pleasing image rather than the most accurate one.
