Apple has asked Mark Fiore to resubmit his iPhone application which was previously rejected because it "ridicules public figures".
The cartoonist won the Pulitzer Prize for his editorial cartooning; however, Apple deemed them inappropriate for the App Store. This led to an uproar in the press accusing Apple of censoring editorial content.
A representative from Apple called the cartoonist Thursday and suggested that he resubmit the app, Mr. Fiore said in an interview. I feel kind of guilty, he said. Im getting preferential treatment because I got the Pulitzer.
