So let me guess this straight. You have an iPhone 4G prototype, and you somehow misplace it at a bar in San Jose. Yeah. Right.
Also That looks like an OLED screen with that blue tint...
And a Microsim?!?! WTF

So if this is the new iphone, does it mean those of us who use unlocked iphones and dont have micro sims available wont be able to use it.

Jay_s1ngh: Apparently the micro-sims are just the same sim but made smaller. That is what's believed with the Ipad, of course. But we really won't know whether that is true, until the 3g+Wifi Ipad is released, to test that theory out.

yhhh, done abit more research and that seems true. Apparently normal sims can be cut to micro sims, if this is the new iphone

The contact area is 100% the same and the functionality/data format is also 100% the same. This has been tested in other countries that are already using the Micro SIM (3FF).
If (carefully) cut down to size, a Mini SIM will function in place of a Micro SIM.

I hope that micro and regular sims have the same contacts size and functionality. If that's the case, some Chinese manufacturer will eventually make adaptors for micro sim to fit as a regular sim. I don't want to waste my gsm phones collection.
