The iPad Camera Connection Kit supports USB headphones or headsets via the USB adapter, according to a new TidBits report.

I tested a Skype call with a USB headset, and the quality was just terrific. This make the iPad even more viable for phone calls, eliminating a requirement for a Bluetooth headset which requires separate charging and pairing.

It was previously reported that the Camera Connection Kit would support audio interfaces that are compatible with the USB Audio Class but this the first evidence that it works.

Dunno what u guys talk about! Why adapter? I use my Apple bluethooth keyboard and Motorola S9 bluethoot headset from day one to connect my iPad. It works fine! Whit Out adapter. So go on skip those extra parts and use it as it works without. Call, write and be happy.

What a waste of money this iPad gen is and people still buy into it even though Apple is making one with a camera already. If people would stop wasting their money on this one Apple would be forced to put out the new one with an actual camera. People are idiots.

Your retarded! If people stopped buying it Apple would just slash the price. No matter what they are going to wait until next January to announce the 2nd Gen. Apple has a large history of being repetitive. Ever notice how every iPhone was announced in ether June or July? Funny thing huh?

And the reason Apple purposely leaves features out is because they know idiots like you like to be cool and have the first new thing that comes out It has nothing to do with how Apple decides to run things and the tech thats available cause the tech is available now, it\'s how the dumb consumer spends their money.  Apple knows it can get dummys like you back over and over again if they keep adding to it\'s products peice by peice. The iPhone is another example of how dumb people are, every year Apple got people like you to give them money and for what? A compass, video recorder and faster speeds? Minus the compass, you can do all the features of the 3G[S] on the 3G and the original iPhone. I have a 3G and it runs like it did when I first bought it and I\'ve jailbroken it and I have backgrounding and multitasking and SBsettings running on it.  If people would stop being dumb about everything that goes on and actually pay attention they would see how Apple gets them to waste money, if you had a 3G you did not need to buy a 3G[S].  This iPad, Apple wants this to be the next gen computer but they treat it like they\'ve always treated the iPhone. They want you to buy accessories for it but you can\'t install your own programs on it and you\'re still limited to the app store.  Dumbing things down is never better but that\'s Apple\'s way of providing crappy OS\'s with limited capabilities and function.  If they want this to replace the desktop they\'re not acting like it, it\'s more like they\'re trying to mold the consumer into what they (Apple) want and get the consumer to do things how they (Apple) want.  The iPad could have been the best tablet PC but Apple fails to bring something new yet again with the iPhone OS and shows that they\'re just leeches.
