I'm using an iPhone 3GS on OS 3.1.2 which I jailbroke using PwnageTool. I'm currently using the original version of iTunes 9. I haven't yet updated to iTunes 9.1 as I read that in some situations, it was causing syncing issues with jailbroken iPhones and that iPhone 3GS owners especially, were strongly advised not to update until further notice. From continued reading over the proceeding days, it seems the community thought this syncing issue might have been caused by a 'bug' in the v9.1 update and that a simple reboot of the computer would fix it. However I've still not yet got clearance that iTunes 9.1 was safe to update to - i.e. that it wouldn't actually cause issues when used in conjunction with a jailbroken iPhone 3GS. Does anyone know if iTunes 9.1.1 is safe to use with a jailbroken iPhone 3GS? If it is then I can update from v9.0 --> v9.1.1 .
Thanks.

hey man im curious about the same thing, there was big warnings that if you had a jailbroken iphone it would not work if updated to 9.1 but fingers crossed with 9.1.1 they have fixed this problem cause it need to be sorted even though i have read that they are trying to stop jailbreaking which would be a stupid thing to do because it because of jailbreaking that so many people have and want an iphone. fingers crossed we find out soon if this is a safe version for us.
