Make you wonder if the MEPs are in the pay of Google and Samsung to try and ruin Apples profitability and weaken its security and privacy

People using iPhones and apple’s ecosystem that have an issue with the “walled” software design have the option of moving to android/windows which is the complete opposite I don’t see why this stuff should be forced. I understand apple is also thinking about profitability but so it should every company needs to make money

It's not that simple. Being stuck in an eco-system because of their monopoly on the local market does not mean I don't want an easier way of sideloading my apps. Their walled garden is exactly the reason why some people are stuck with them outside their control, work-required apps, IOS only companion apps etc. The get-an-android is not a one fits all solution because it's just not viable for some. It does not mean that we want to be restricted in everything.
