Apple CEO Tim Cook has posted a tribute to Berkshire Hathaway's Charlie Munger following his death.

Munger, a renowned investor and vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, passed away at a hospital in Santa Barbara, California, on November 28, 2023, at the age of 99. In a statement following his death, Warren Buffett said, "Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie's inspiration, wisdom and participation."

Here's the tribute shared by Tim Cook on X...

A titan of business and keen observer of the world around him, Charlie Munger helped build an American institution, and through his wisdom and insights, inspired a generation of leaders. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Charlie.

Notably, Apple is the number one stock in Berkshire's portfolio by market value and was worth over $150 billion at the end of September. It makes up half of the company's total equity portfolio.

For those interested in Munger's investing strategy, there have been numerous books published on this topic. Additionally, 'Poor Charlie's Almanack: The Essential Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger', is being republished by Stripe and will be released on December 5, 2023.
