Skype to Unveil Group Video Calling Next Week

Skype is planning to release a public beta next week that adds support for group video chat. The feature will let up to five people participate in a video call simultaneously.

When the feature launches next week it will be free, but Skype Ltd. plans to start charging for it along with some other upcoming features in three or four months, said Neil Stevens, general manager of Skype's consumer business segment.

Group video chat will first be available to Windows users. A Mac version will be made available later in the year.

Mac later in the year... Linux not at all? I can't imagine group video being a major change on the client side.
