Wal-Mart may start selling the iPad in 2010 as part of a greater push to offer more electronics, according to Bloomberg.
"We anticipate being able to have the iPad later this year," Gary Severson, senior vice president of entertainment for Wal-Mart's U.S. stores, said in a telephone interview. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based company isn't prepared to provide specific details related to the timing and pricing of the iPad, he said.
The company plans to announce today that it will sell more Internet-connected flat-panel televisions, Blu-ray disc players, mobile phones and routers. According to Bloomberg a effort by Best Buy and RadioShack boosted their earnings last quarter.
