Steve Jobs Yacht Collides With Another Super Yacht in Italy [Video]

Venus, the super yacht designed by Philippe Starck for Steve Jobs, collided with Lady Moura, another super yacht, in Italy this week.

Ricardo Salinas Pliego, the Mexican billionaire owner of Lady Moura, posted a video of the encounter on X, blaming the Venus for the collision. He also suggested that Apple users go out and buy more Apple products to help Laurene Powell Jobs pay for his repairs.

You're not going to believe this, but our yacht got hit while we were in Naples.

Here's the story ☕️… Steve Jobs' yacht, the one that now belongs to his wife Laurene, bumped into us while we were anchored off the coast of Naples. I'd love to know what the captain and crew were doing that they didn't see a yacht the size of mine right in front of them. Thankfully, nothing happened beyond a scrape, but it's a big scrape that's going to be expensive to fix, ha ha ha. So go to @ElektraMx and buy Apple products so you can help them pay for their little mistake.

Despite Pliego's accusations, Boat International has obtained some additional information from a source who notes that both boats were at anchor, but Lady Moura was on twice the length chain expected.

"On 22 July while at anchor, Venus came into contact with Lady Moura, which was also anchored. No family was on board, only crew. The wind changed very suddenly, picking up from a breeze to 55 knots over the course of a few minutes."

"Neither boat dragged anchor, though the other boat was on a chain double the length expected in the depth of water they were in. Both captains were in discussion immediately following the incident about minor repairs needed."
