BigBoss has updated SBSettings with two fixes and an iPad only statusbar SSID option.

Bring up SBSettings (see the figure above) and tap on the "More" icon. Tap on "Extras & Options". Set the "Statusbar Wi-Fi SSID" switch to the ON position. (You might also wish to toggle ON the "Statusbar IP Addr", if not already done so.) After respringing, you will be able to see the name (SSID) of any Wi-Fi network to which your iPad is connected displayed in the statusbar.
Related useful tip: On a Mac with built-in Wi-Fi and running OS X, fire up Terminal.app (in /Applications/Utilities/) and type the following at the command prompt in order to get a list of the Wi-Fi networks in your vicinity. (The first column in the resulting list, you will note, is labelled SSID.)
