iFixit Posts Teardown of New M4 Mac mini [Video]

iFixit has posted its teardown of the redesigned Mac mini with M4.

Apple's Mac Mini has had a redesign from the ground up and holy guacamole this thing is small! This thing looks just like a tiny version of a Mac Studio, and while that signature Apple aluminum finish is nice to look at, it is a fingerprint magnet. Some folks feel that Apple's obsession with aesthetics might have gone too far. Let's see what we can find inside!


Notably, the storage chips for the Mac mini are on a removable PCB. This opens the door to potential upgrade paths in the future. If you are good at soldering, the NAND chips on the PCB have already successfully been upgraded by dosdude1.

iFixit gives the Mac Mini M4 and Mac Mini M4 Pro a provisional repairability score of 7 out of 10. You can purchase on sale today for just $549.
