Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that the company will donate to support Los Angeles fire recovery efforts.
In a post on X today, Cook described the devastation as heartbreaking...
The devastation caused by the fires in Los Angeles is heartbreaking. Thank you to the incredible firefighters, first responders, and all those assisting for your heroic efforts. Apple will be donating to support the victims and recovery efforts on the ground.
This follows an earlier post in which he urged everyone to take precautions and stay safe.
To our teams in Los Angeles and all those affected by the devastating Palisades fire, we're thinking of you. Please take precautions and stay safe.
It's estimated that the Southern California wildfires have resulted in five fatalities, and destroyed or damaged over 2,000 structures. There are multiple fires currently burning in Los Angeles County, including the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, the Hurst Fire, the Lidia Fire and the Sunset Fire. The Eaton Fire and Palisades Fire are at 0% containment.
