Apple Shares Shot on iPhone Film for Chinese New Year 2025 [Video]

Apple has released a new Shot on iPhone film titled 'I Made a Mixtape for You' to celebrate Chinese New Year 2025.

Meet Wei. While traveling home for Chinese New Year, he discovers his parents' '90s mixtape. He's transported to a '90s dream world where he falls in love with a complete stranger, rekindling his faith in love when he wakes up. Apple has also shared a 'Making of I Made a Mixtape for You' video that goes behind the scenes of how the film was created.

The crew takes us behind the lens of "I Made a Mixtape for You" to show the making of Apple's first Chinese New Year Shot on iPhone musical with the latest iPhone 16 Pro.




In addition to these videos, Apple has unveiled limited edition AirPods 4 wireless earbuds to commemorate the Chinese New Year, honoring the Year of the Snake. These exclusive AirPods feature a sleek snake engraving on the front of the charging case, symbolizing transformation and renewal. The packaging also showcases a vibrant red snake, a color traditionally associated with luck and celebration in Chinese culture. The Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese zodiac, represents intelligence, charm, and resilience.


The Chinese New Year starts Saturday, January 25, 2025. The celebrations traditionally last for 15 days, culminating with the Lantern Festival on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
