Apple Shares Official Trailer for 'Highest 2 Lowest' Starring Denzel Washington [Video]

Apple has shared the official trailer for Highest 2 Lowest, starring Denzel Washington.

When a titan music mogul (Denzel Washington), widely known as having the "best ears in the business," is targeted with a ransom plot, he is jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma. Brothers Denzel Washington and Spike Lee reunite for the fifth time in their long working relationship for a reinterpretation of the great filmmaker Akira Kurosawa's crime thriller "High and Low," now played out on the mean streets of modern day New York City.


Kurosawa's original High and Low (1963), based on the novel King's Ransom by Ed McBain, is widely regarded as a masterpiece of suspense and social commentary—exploring class divisions through the lens of a high-stakes kidnapping. Highest 2 Lowest is written by Alan Fox and produced by Jason Michael Berman and Todd Black.

The film is set to premiere in theaters on August 22, 2025 and will arrive on Apple TV+ on September 5, 2025.
