Apple Releases iOS 26.2 Beta 3 and iPadOS 26.2 Beta 3 [Download]

Apple has seeded the third beta of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 to developers for testing. The build number for this beta is 23C5044b. This release follows the second beta, which was seeded last week.

It's not yet clear what's new in the third beta, but the update cycle has already introduced several new features and refinements. The second beta continued to refine the user experience. Apple's Measure app received an updated Liquid Glass design for its level, and the Games app gained a new option to sort the library by size. For CarPlay users, the update added a setting to disable pinned messages in the Messages app.


Apple also provided more details on its Enhanced Safety Alerts, which can notify users of emergencies like earthquakes or floods using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular data. A new 'Improve Alert Delivery' option uses approximate location to improve the timeliness and reliability of these alerts without Apple storing the user's location.

iOS 26.2 is the second point update to iOS 26, a massive update for the iPhone that introduced a universal design language called 'Liquid Glass,' an expansion of Apple Intelligence features, and significant upgrades to core apps.
