Sid Meier's Civilization VII is officially coming to Apple Arcade on February 5, bringing the legendary strategy franchise to iPhone, iPad, and Mac without ads or in-app purchases. The launch headlines a fresh wave of additions to the service that also includes a dedicated retro gaming collection and new spatial experiences for the Vision Pro.
Launching February 5, Sid Meier's Civilization VII Arcade Edition brings the AAA strategy experience to Apple platforms. Players guide an empire through distinct ages of human history, making strategic decisions that shape their civilization's cultural lineage. The title joins a growing list of popular PC ports recently added to the catalog, following the release of titles like Cozy Caravan.
Also arriving in February is Retrocade, a collection that bundles classic '80s arcade titles like Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Centipede, and Galaga into a single app. While playable on iPhone and iPad, the title offers a unique immersive experience on the Apple Vision Pro, placing players inside a virtual arcade environment to play the games just as they were played when they were originally released.
The update also includes Felicity's Door, a rhythm-based narrative game, and I Love Hue Too+, a psychedelic puzzle game centered on color and perception. Existing titles are seeing updates as well, with Crayola Create and Play+ launching a limited-time crossover event with Paddington on January 22.
Apple Arcade is available for $6.99 per month in the U.S.
