I have an iPhone 3G and it's has never been jailbroken its on baseband 05.16.05 (i will jailbreak but need to know if its possible before)

okay so it's a 3GS with the new bootrom lucky me :( can it be unlocked with an untethered jailbreak ?

update it then jailbreak it , then flash ipad baseband using redsn0w (google the steps)
