Apple has released the first official teaser trailer for "Star City," the highly anticipated spin-off to its alternate-history space drama "For All Mankind."
The upcoming eight-episode thriller flips the perspective of the original series. Apple shared a first look at the project last month, confirming it explores the defining moment when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. The story dives into the secretive lives of the cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers working within the Soviet space program to propel humankind forward.
"Star City" was created by Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore. Wolpert and Nedivi serve as showrunners and executive producers alongside Moore, Maril Davis, Andrew Chambliss, and Steve Oster. The project is produced for Apple TV by Sony Pictures Television.
The ensemble cast features Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O'Casey, Alice Englert, Solly McLeod, Adam Nagaitis, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Josef Davies, and Priya Kansara.
The series will make its global debut on Friday, May 29. Apple plans to launch the show with the first two episodes, followed by one new installment every Friday through July 10.
