Apple has renewed the BAFTA-nominated docuseries "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars" for a second season. The eight-part series, executive produced by Gordon Ramsay, follows elite chefs and restaurant teams as they compete for Michelin recognition during the yearlong Michelin Guide season.
Hosted by food and travel expert Jesse Burgess, the series offers an inside look at the pressures of international fine dining. Camera crews follow restaurants throughout the Michelin Guide season to see whether they gain, maintain, or lose their stars. Ramsay said growing economic pressures across the restaurant industry have made the pursuit of culinary perfection more difficult than ever.
The first season featured restaurants including Aure in the Nordics, Coqodaq in New York, and Caractère in London. The series earned a 100% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and received a nomination in the Factual Entertainment category at the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards.
Studio Ramsay Global, a Fox Entertainment Company, produces the series for Apple. James Callum serves as series director, while Lisa Edwards, Lorraine Charker-Phillips, and Jill Greenwood join Ramsay as executive producers.
