Apple has seeded the first developer beta of macOS Tahoe 26.6 for testing.
The latest build, 25G5028f, arrives alongside the corresponding first betas for iOS and iPadOS. It follows the recent public rollout of macOS Tahoe 26.5, which introduced new App Store subscription options and essential security improvements to the Mac.
Apple has not published a detailed list of changes for today's build. With the company preparing to preview its next-generation operating systems at WWDC26 next month, active feature development on the macOS 26 branch is beginning to wind down. This late-stage update is expected to focus heavily on under-the-hood performance patches, bug fixes, and overall system stability rather than major interface changes.
Registered developers can download the new beta by navigating to System Settings, clicking General, and selecting Software Update. The full restore image is also available through the Apple Developer Center for those performing clean installations.
