Apple TV Debuts Trailer for Australian Thriller 'Last Seen' Starring Patrick Brammall [Video]

Apple TV has released the official trailer for its upcoming Australian thriller 'Last Seen,' offering a closer look at the six-episode series ahead of its September 9 premiere.



Starring Gotham Award winner Patrick Brammall ('Colin from Accounts'), the series follows former police detective Ian Ridley, whose life fell apart 11 years ago when his young daughter Maggie vanished without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, Ridley refuses to believe she is gone forever. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is certain is Maggie, he stops at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family.


The nearly two-minute trailer expands on the series' central mystery, following Ridley as he risks everything to find the teenage caller he believes is Maggie. Apple previously revealed a first look at the series in May.

'Last Seen' premieres globally on Wednesday, September 9, with two episodes. New episodes will follow every Wednesday through October 7. The series was adapted by writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa from CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning author Ryan David Jahn's novel 'The Dispatcher.' Emmy-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow directs and executive produces.

The ensemble cast also includes Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Jessica Wren, Zahra Newman, Tobias Muhafidin, and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes. Filmed entirely on location in Victoria, Australia, the series is produced by 60Forty Films and Werner Film Productions. Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Christian Schwochow, Kris Mrksa, and Joanna Werner serve as executive producers.
