Apple TV has unveiled a first look at "Last Seen," a new six-episode Australian thriller starring Patrick Brammall. Adapted from Ryan David Jahn's novel "The Dispatcher," the series is set to make its global debut on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The drama will launch with its first two episodes, followed by a new installment every Wednesday through October 7. The story follows former police detective Ian Ridley, played by Brammall, whose life collapsed 11 years earlier when his young daughter Maggie vanished without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, he remains driven by a refusal to accept that she might be gone forever. That conviction is put to the test when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is convinced is his missing daughter. The call prompts him to risk everything to track her down and reunite his broken family.
Directed and executive produced by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow, the series was adapted for the screen by Kris Mrksa. Filmed on location in Victoria, Australia, the ensemble cast also features Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Jessica Wren, Zahra Newman, and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes. Production is handled by 60Forty Films and Werner Film Productions.
"Last Seen" joins Apple's growing lineup of thriller series, including the psychological thriller Cape Fear and the upcoming CIA drama Disavowed.
