Podcast creators will soon be able to offer video through Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, extending the program beyond audio. Apple announced the upcoming expansion on its site for creators.

Video options will include subscriber-exclusive episodes, ad-free video, early access, and bonus content. Premium video will be available to audiences in more than 170 countries and regions, with subscribers able to discover and watch it across Apple devices and the web.
Apple says the expansion builds on the direct-to-listener businesses creators have established around premium audio since Apple Podcasts Subscriptions launched. Adding video gives podcasters another way to connect with their audiences and expand those businesses directly through Apple Podcasts.
Creators will be able to deliver both audio and video without maintaining separate offerings or workflows. Apple is working with podcast hosting providers across the industry to make integration seamless, with details from participating partners expected in the coming months.
The company said video support is coming soon but did not provide a specific launch date.
