Boot Speed Test: iPhone 18 Pro Max vs iPhone 17 Pro Max vs iPhone 16 Pro Max [Video]
In this video, we compare the boot speed of the new iPhone 18 Pro Max against the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Each phone was filmed separately and timed from the first sight of the Apple logo to the first sight of the time on its Lock Screen. The iPhone 18 Pro Max, which runs Apple's new A20 Pro chip, finished first in 12.70 seconds. The iPhone 17 Pro Max followed at 13.00 seconds, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max took 15.40 seconds.
That reverses last year's result, when the two-year-old iPhone 15 Pro Max booted faster than the new iPhone 17 Pro Max.
