Boot Speed Test: iPhone 17 Pro Max vs iPhone 16 Pro Max vs iPhone 15 Pro Max [Video]

In this video, we compare the boot speed of the new iPhone 17 Pro Max against the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Each device in this test was freshly restored to iOS 26 and set up with the exact same configuration. Interestingly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max was the fastest to boot, finishing in 11.766 seconds. The new iPhone 17 Pro Max came in second place with a time of 15.766 seconds, just edging out the iPhone 16 Pro Max which booted in 15.833 seconds. This follows a pattern we've seen in some previous tests, including our iPhone 16 Pro Max boot speed test, where the newest model isn't always the quickest to start up.
