Leaked setup screens show a Photo Face option for Apple's unannounced home hub, with photos displayed beside a large clock. Code leaker pdfu says the option is part of the device's initial setup.

Users can choose Photos, Memories, or Shared Albums. The Photos option can shuffle pictures of particular people, pets, or places, or draw from a collection; another screen offers Featured Photos and manual selection.
Photo Face requires iCloud Photos. During setup, the iPhone sends a few full-resolution photos so the display can start immediately, while the new device downloads the rest from iCloud.
The same Photo Face is also expected in iPhone Duo's StandBy mode. Apple's roughly 6-inch home hub is expected on October 13, with an interface built around clocks and photo slideshows. These images show the setup flow, not the finished hub interface, and Apple has not announced the device.
