MuscleNerd has tweeted that the iPhone Dev-Team plans to release PwnageTool for iOS 4.1 by Sunday.
For AppleTV 2G users, the goal is for PwnageTool to cover you by Funday/Sunday (but still very limited app capability)
Two jailbreak utilities for iOS 4.1 have already been released. Limera1n and Greenpois0n. Unfortunately, both utilities are Windows only. Mac versions are said to be coming soon; however, that date can't come soon enough for many users.
PwnageTool has previously been a Mac only tool. This release should also bring the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad jailbreak to Mac users.

I really need pwnagetool because my phone got f***ked up, and it wont start and the only way for my computer to detect my phone is on dfu mode, but when in dfu mode i cant restore to 4.1 because tinyumbrella does not detect my iphone 4 on dfu mode, so the only way i can restore is by cooking a custom firmware and hope it succeeds.. but if anyone knows a way how to restore without updating baseband would be a very big help, remember my phone wont boot, and my iphone is not detected by tinyumbrella because it wont start, i can only restore my phone in dfu, which if i do will update my baseband. Hope someone can help, ill appreciate it alot! thank you!

can you down load 4.1 ipsw firmware and updat with itunes by shift+restore and use reboot to kick off from recovery mode if you get error 1004?

So does it mean that i am able to unlock my iP4 iOS 4.1 baseband 01.59.00 (i jailbroke it with limera1n but saved my baseband with tinyumbrella) ??

The ultrasn0w unlock doens't work .. i did it like iClarified sayed it but i am not able to unlock. i think that's because i jailbroke with limera1n?? limera1n and ultrasn0w together doesn't work??

I have an iPhone 4 with originallly 4.0.2 [5.19] baseband and preserved my baseband by upgrading to 4.1 using the tinyumbrella tutorial here. Once on 4.1 I was able to unlock via ultrasn0w. Everything worked out perfect.

I doensn't worke for me ... so what could i do? My iPhone4 says i am on iOS. 4.1 with baseband 01.59.00 ... but ultrasn0w won't work ...

yes you can unlock ios 4.1 on iphone 4 if you have your 1.59 baseband. just look for the tutorial on how to unlock with ultrasn0w!!!!!!!!!!!

When you do the ultrasnow thing turn off/on your iphone, turn off the 3g on the network settings,put the phone on airplane mode,try all of this with a different sim card other than the one from att...im using a tmobile sim card...at first it did not work for me and than i did what i just said and i got the tmobile signal :). Also try uninstall/install ultrasnow...look for me on twitter panda_503

ok, i'll try to unistall ultrasn0w, turn off my iP4, turn it back on and go in airplaine mode + switch off 3G ... hopefully it will work then ... i am going nuts!!

out of curiousity, where did you get your factory unlocked iphone from ? are you in the US ? i've been scouting ebay for a while... but those prices are still ridiculous unless items listed out of US.

Both tools are using the same exploit, they should be the same. I think limera1n has few number of steps

COOL!.... Not Everyone Has PC's around. I do for one Reason or another, But a MAC version is needed .... THANKS!.. Those of us that can (and Do wait) Appreciate it....
